What is Occupational Therapy?
A child’s occupation is learning to be independent in their activities of daily living. For infants and young children this involves learning to use their hands for play, exploring their environment, and participating in self-help activities, which includes mealtime. As an occupational therapist, Kaitlyn looks at the whole child in order to support skill development and independence within mealtime participation, developmental, sensory based feeding challenges and tube transitions.
